Great balls of fire: Flamers of Tzeentch

Greetings all.

As promised, I have another little update for you.

I got three old school Flamers of Tzeentch painted up for the occasional summoning:

These were just a quick paint job, but I'm happy enough with them. I do like the weird original Tzeentch sculpts, before things went all shiny and Egyptian.

Comments welcome chaps (and chapettes).

  1. Lovely choice of colours there, Ross. Nicely muted; I love that blue and how it compliments that dark purple. What colours did you use?

    1. Cheers dude :) Yeh I'm really pleased with how the blue and purple work together actually, and I'll be repeating the colours on Fateweaver in the next week or so. The colours are all the new GW range actually: Emperor's Children (pink), I Genestealer Purple, and Teclis Blue. This was then covered with good old Army Painter Strong Tone.

    2. Whoops: The green is the old Scorpion Green too!

  2. Yeah, some of the new GW range can come up with the goods. I may have to invest in the purple and the blue. I miss my old Scorpion green. My greens are never quite the same these days. Probably the colour I struggle with to be honest. Keep the good work coming Ross!

  3. For a "quick paint job" they look great. And as far as the photography goes, you've really set a new standard for pics of Chaos. The rocks are great, but the pink lightening really puts me in the mood to worship the ruinous powers. Is that the magic of photoshop, or do you have a real-life back screen. In either case, well done.

    1. Thanks dude! I can't take all credit for the background, Orlygg at realmofchaos80s gave me the idea. It's simple really, just a cool background printed from teh interwebz and mounted on card. The rocks give a bit of perspective and I used my daylight bulb to light it up. Easy peasy :)
